Westcon included the Statoil contract – Beautiful weather

Statoil has awarded Westcon a two-year framework agreement for the assigned maintenance of subsea equipment and – tools by baselokasjonene in Norway, with the exception of Kristiansund and Mongstad Well Connection contract.

Ølensvåg: the agreement implemented immediately and have the opportunity to further extension of up to six years.

Westcon Subsea will be responsible for maintenance and overhaul of defined sections of the subsea equipment which Statoil has on their inventories, as well as the agreement may be extended to include equipment for both onshore and offshore.

– This is fantastic fun. To enter into such a significant agreement with Statoil is not only recognition of the expertise that Westcon has built up and the results that are delivered over many years, but also implies a predictability in an otherwise difficult market. The cooperation agreement with Well Connection and the combined expertise we represent, has clearly been a success factor. We now look forward to working together with Statoil and further develop our commitment, says Steinar Matre, subsea division of Westcon in a statement.

Previously Westcon produced advanced subsea equipment to Statoil for use on multiple subsea developments. The new maintenance agreement also comes in a series of subsea work Westcon has performed since its focus on the production and maintenance of subsea units started a little over two years ago. Through missions including Subsea 7, OneSubsea, Kongsberg Oil & amp; Gas Technologies, EMAS AMC and Technip, Westcon during this period produced subsea modules to major field developments worldwide.

– This is a challenging market to gain entry into – especially in these times, but there is now little doubt that we have hit the mark with subsea our commitment. We have succeeded by working hard and providing top expertise, HSE standards and quality assurance systems. This has helped ensure that customers keep coming back to us, says Matre in the press release.
