255,000 new jobs in the United States – OBI Online

The number of employed outside the agricultural sector in the US rose by 255,000 in July, while the unemployment rate was 4.9 percent.

It was expected in advance 180,000 nonfarm payrolls in July, according to Bloomberg. The unemployment rate was hold at 4.8 percent.

Employment change outside agriculture in June was revised from originally reported increase of 287,000 to 292,000, according to TDN Finans.

The private employment was up 217,000 in July from the revised 259,000 in the previous month.

it was expected a recovery in the private employment of 170,000 people in June, according to TDN.

Oslo stock Exchange reacts up the numbers and is writing up 0.46 percent to 611.04. Just before the figures were released stood exchange in around 609.60.
