– The reason for the good quarterly result is a very high salmon prices, and low and stable production costs from the previous quarter in the Northern Region, says CEO Charles Autumn Lund.
The price of salmon in the quarter is the highest that have been registered over the last 20 years in a quarter. For 2016 it is expected that global supply growth will be negative in the range of 5-7 per cent and in the longer term expected global growth to
continue to be low. This provides the basis for a positive market outlook for 2016 and the longer term for the industry, it says.
