Friday morning delivered oil company Statoil plan for development and operation for Byrding field in the North Sea.

Since the preparatory work for the project was made to the plan today was submitted, the company cut the estimated cost of development from 3.5 to one billion, writes DN.
– the main reason is that it’s worked very well with the concept. We looked at our own subsea solution Byrding, and we now have utilized existing infrastructure much better. This is an optimization of the whole concept, said modification Director Terese Kvinge Statoil said.
– We have been working to re-use facility on Troll C platform and there is probably a bit of the key to success, she says.
