Beerenberg lose contract worth NOK 400 million – Offshore.no

The Bergen-based oil services company have announced that they have failed to renew the framework agreement for ISO services at Ekofisk.

Estimated annual sales in the existing agreement of 400 million.

Monday it was announced that there are Bilfinger who has won a new contract here.

CEO Morten Walde in Beerenberg had to inform their employees on Tuesday morning that the failure to renew the framework agreement.

– it is true that the main agreement in the ongoing maintenance of the Greater Ekofisk is assigned an alternate ISO contractor Beerenberg. As a consequence, the total level of activity our at Greater Ekofisk significantly reduced. What consequences this will have for the company’s employees in the Stavanger area is the somewhat early to be conclusive on. But anyone who knows the market trend in today’s oil sector will understand that we Beerenberg at present time, and in no way, can rule out a downsizing, says Walde.

Although this contract Backlash, he looks forward to working with ConocoPhillips in the future.

– It is anyway so Beerenberg has had the pleasure to operate ongoing activities in the Greater Ekofisk over many, many years. And ConocoPhillips have in this era has been a demanding, yet competent and inspiring principal for us. That in this way has been a major contributor to the operational development of Beerenberg as a company, there is little doubt. Therefore it is important for us that the close cooperation, albeit in a different format, a different extent and through alternative contract formats, will continue in the years to come.
