Oslo Stock Exchange opened up as expected Tuesday in the wake of a price jump of oil since the exchange closed before Easter. Immediately after opening the main index reached new historical peak, and throughout the day has just continued recovery.
The old record of 24 June last year was 632.37.
The main index ended today at 644.80, after a rally in the entire 3.64 percent.
At the very most was the exchange just before closing up in 645.02.
Oil prices jumped Monday
Oil prices rose over five percent Monday. The price hike came after Saudi Arabia raised the price for crude oil they sell to Asia for the second consecutive month.
At close of trading on Tuesday, however, falls rate 0.5 percent to $ 57.83, while the price was 55, $ 16 when the Oslo Stock Exchange closed before Easter.
Statoil rose today entire 6.04 percent to 152.70 dollars.
The share is thus up 16.39 percent in 2015, and the company’s value increased today with 27.8 billion.
DNO rose on its side 12.20 percent to 11.40 million.
Snap in oil
More oil shares also made it bright strongly Tuesday. Seadrill ended up 14.85 percent to 86.25 kroner. The company value thus increased by 5.5 billion today.
Societé Générale cuts however price target on Seadrill from 133 to 86 million and reiterates hold recommendation. The brokerage believes it is too early to invest in rig shares, reports TDN Finans.
Subsea 7 climbed 7.59 percent today to 73 million and PGS ended up 9.27 percent to 43.60 kroner. The former value increased by 1.7 billion today.
Siem Offshore contract
Siem Offshore announced today that Siem Offshore Contractors awarded a contract in connection with cable system to Veja Mate Offshore Windfarm project outside Germany.
The contract is over EUR 100 million.
Siem Offshore rose 23.68 percent to 2.35 million today, and topped thus winners.
Update from Polarcus
Polarcus Limited have come with a fleet update for Q1. In this it is stated that the company’s seismic fleet had a fleet utilization of 47 percent in contract seismic.
Polarcus opened up but ended down 11.63 percent to 38 cents as the current second biggest loser.
EMAS already out with numbers
Oslo Børs company EMAS Offshore Limited reports a profit after tax of $ 9.7 million in Q1 2015, which ended on February 28, against 4, $ 0,000,000 in the same period last year.
The share rose today 1.67 percent to 2.44 million.
Matching halt after a strong rise
