the Government put itself at a reasonable level on the oljepengebruken, believe Finance in Norway, but they are not happy finansskatten.

“..we find it strange that one chooses to introduce a finansskatt overall means fewer kompetansearbeidsplasser especially in rural areas, and reduces the capital to the restructuring and growth in the business sector”, states the commentary from Finance Norway.

Moderate spending

Finance Norway emphasizes the importance of oljepengebruken are moderate and pointed, among other things, that it provides a far better starting point to meet the growth in expenses for pensions, health and care.

Finance Norway believes that the reduced corporate tax is a proper grip that provides small and medium-sized businesses greater opportunities for reinvestment in their own operations.

the Organization miss the introduction of a so-called SMB-discount in kapitalkravene to increase the banks ‘ ability to fund reorganization and growth of small and medium-sized businesses.

Disappointment in Finansforbundet

Finansforbundet responds in like with Finance Norway that the government will introduce a new finansskatt in the proposed budget for next year.

the federation, which organizes employees in the financial services industry, believes the new tax will increase the cost per head in the industry with roughly 40,000, respectively.

– the Owners are not going to cover in costs. Customers and employees get the bill, the tasks are moved abroad, and districts will suffer extra hard. We fear that the social consequences in the morning can be far more serious than the government realise today, ” says the head of Finansforbundet Pål Adrian Hellman.

He points out that the government will increase taxes in finance with 5 percent.

– There will in practice discriminate against companies that are betting on the people, and particularly lokalbankene, ” says Hellman.

He reacts strongly that the government will increase the skattetrykket for the financial services industry alone.

Finance is one of the industries in Mainland Norway that pays the most tax, almost 50 percent more than the industry overall in the last few years, and is characterised by high value creation and productivity growth, ” says forbundslederen.

YS critical

the Government’s finansskatt can lead to loss of jobs and skills in rural areas, says the YS-leader Jorunn Berland.

” We are most dissatisfied with finansskatten in this proposed budget. The government introduces here a special tax that applies to a specific professional group. It is very unfortunate, and may mean the loss of expertise and jobs in rural areas, ” says Berland.

the Government proposes to introduce a finansskatt of 5 per cent, of wages and profit in the next year. The proposal follows up skatteforliket in Parliament in may.
