Predicts strong growth for oil prices – HegnarOnline

Broker Manager at Clarkson Platou Peter M. Anker, think oil prices will continue to strengthen in the future, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

– Right now there is a dramatic picture that emerges from the oil and offshore industries. Our assessment is that we will see a significant strengthening of oil prices over the next six to 18 months, says Anker said.

He points out that emerging economies like China and India now increasing its oil consumption, while which reserves reduced.

– There is a need to look for more oil for the world’s energy will be covered in future years, says broker boss.

Brent oil rises Tuesday morning 0.75 percent to $ 55.16 a barrel, while WTI oil is up 0.75 percent to $ 49.94 a barrel.

For comparison, a barrel of North Sea oil traded for $ 53.05 a barrel at the end of trading Friday. Year lowest quotation was set on January 13, when Brent oil was traded for $ 46.59 a barrel.
