chief economist Harald Magnus Andreassen in Swedbank’s surprised the weak manufacturing numbers today and think that it indicates 0-growth in mainland Norway.
He adds that the change in orders for oil-related businesses are the steepest he has seen, and the lowest someone within, and he looks not at all signs of stabilization.
– The consumer was perhaps the only bright spot?
– Ehh, it was lower than the average also, he said.
Andreassen had expected a weaker krone would have positive effects, but it is difficult to see signs of it, he says, while have getting ready for cycling.
Norges Bank overshoot?
Norges Bank’s projections for growth in mainland Norway this year is 1.25 percent and 1.5 percent in 2016. In 2017 is estimated at a growth rate of 2.25 percent and year of 2.5 percent.
SSB predicted even as recently as June 4, 2015 GDP -veksten in mainland Norway would be 1.2 percent this year and 2.4 percent next year.
For comparison, recent figures today that Sweden had a growth from Q2 2014 to 2. quarter 2015 of 3.0 percent.
