For the first time serve TVNorge more than TV2 – Dagbladet.no

2014 was a record year for TVNorge and owners Discovery Networks Norway. Channel served better than TV 2.

TVNorge got an accounting operating profit in 2014 of 324 million. The profit margin was 21 percent, according to Dagens Næringsliv.

2014 – was another fantastic year for us. We set a new trading record, bottom line record and viewer record for the fifth consecutive year. The development we have been through since we took some simple strategic moves and changed course in 2009, has been an adventure, says managing director Harald Stromme Discovery Networks.

The company made an operating profit of 500 million, an increase of 52 percent from the year before. This took Discovery Networks 176 million as its share.

main competitor TV2 got to comparison operating profit in 2014 of NOK 285 million, 39 million less than TVNorge.

The main reason for TVNorges economic success in recent years is that the company has received far more viewers that the channel can offer its advertisers.

Communications Director Rune Indrøy in TV2 stresses that TV 2 can not be compared with TVNorge, and shows among other things that TV2 has an extensive public broadcaster offers, a very large news operation, and that they are very big on sports, which requires considerable resources and is difficult to get profitable.
