NHO boss gets climate top – HegnarOnline

Former Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg was a member of the same commission until he took over as NATO chief. When Skogen Lund now becomes the new Norwegian representative of the Commission, it is as a result of that she has agreed at the request of Mexico’s former President Felipe Calderon, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

Skogen Lund does not know how her name appeared for commission leader.

– I must admit that I was a little put out of the question. I decided well really there and then to join, says NHO boss.

Commission “The global commission on the economy and climate” aims to show that it is possible to combine economic growth with climate policy. Norway is one of nine countries that finance the Commission’s work.

Skogen Lund warns against exaggerating the fight against climate change.

– It may be just as irresponsible climate policy to shout too loudly about unilateral climate considerations sacrificing economy, it will eventually lead to a collapse in the logic that makes greenhouse lose, says Skogen Lund, who cites the requirement to shut oil production in the North Sea as an example.
