Now everyone can check government spending – ABC News

All businesses in the state must publish its annual report and its annual accounts for 2014 before 1 May this year.

– The Government places great emphasis on transparency around resource use and results in the state. Both the Government and the individual manager in the state must be held accountable for how we use taxpayers’ money. Then we need to be open about what we’ve used, and what we have achieved, says Finance Jensen (FRP).

This is the first annual report and accounts in the state follows a common layout, so that it becomes easier to compare across.

– We have a responsibility for how we use public funds on what results we get and how we make good services for residents. Openness this is important for the government, managers and employees in the state, but also for society as a whole, says Municipal and modernization Minister Jan Tore Sanner (H).
