Nine out of ten trades online, according to a survey conducted by Ipsos MMI for Nordea. Of the respondents almost 40 per cent that they shop online at least once a month.
– We leave increasingly larger values in online shops. With online shopping, both the availability and the selection of the individual become so enormously. Simultaneously, also the temptations and the economic pitfalls bigger, says consumer economist Elin Reitan Nordea.
Most men
There are men who are most keen on online shopping, according to the survey. They state namely to act more often and to spend almost twice as much money as women on this purpose.
While women online shop for 338 million on average per month, using men averaged 661 million.
– Men may have a tendency to act precious things, such as sporting goods and electronics, online and therefore uses on average more money than women do, says Reitan.
Cheaper
The main reasons why we behave online is that it is cheaper. 54 percent report namely price as one of the main reasons to shop online.

– In a hectic schedule, it is often easier to shop from your couch after the kids have gone to bed. Meanwhile, many feel it is easy to locate exactly what they need in online shops. It is a good way to time, says Reitan.
Pastime
Over 40 percent report that greater choice is one of the main reasons why they shop online. Almost 40 percent rattles that you get hold of items that can not be bought in Norway as an important factor.
