Since 2009, Nerland Autosalg fought against claims from NPRA about the documentation required to register imported cars.
After two rounds in the courts with a subsequent appeal to the Supreme Court’s ruling of the Court of Appeal finally enforceable, writes DN.
at the end of 2009, suddenly Nerland approved imported used cars at the nation’s traffic stations. The reason was stricter requirements for documentation that vehicles meet common European rules.
Nerland obtained documents from an independent testing institute in Germany, but the authorities refused to allow to register cars.
The state was in Court of Appeal sentenced to pay a compensation of 4.725 million plus interest, as well as around 1.75 million kroner in costs.
– We mashed them in the High court, says Rolf Nerland to DN.
he says they lost a turnover of 140 million.
