Dwelling of Homebuilders Association for February show that sales of new homes in February, is four percent over February last year.
– The last 12 months it sold 30,966 homes. This is the highest level in many years, says Per Jaeger, CEO of Homebuilders Association in a statement Tuesday.
Recent figures show that there are condo market that accounts for the positive sales trend with an increase from last year of 12% while sales of detached houses and row houses goes back respectively 4% and 16%.
the number of new homes fell by 42% in February compared with the same month last year. For the first two months we have a starting decrease of 20%.
– The decline is because we registered a record initiating in December and that starts in February 2015 were at a high level, said Jaeger.
– We see no drama in these figures. Housing starts in the last 12 months compared with the preceding 12 months saw a growth of 11%.
