Juicy Seadrill revenge – OBI Online

Oslo Stock Exchange was in the swing Friday and were long up 1.3 percent. After fresh job figures from the US surprised to the upside, put the exchange further momentum and was at one point up 1.87 percent.

The main index ended up 2.03 percent to 588.

There was no trading in shares and securities for 4.9 billion.

Among the shares that stood out was oil strongly represented: Seadrill, Prosafe, Polarcus, PGS, Fred Olsen Energy, Archer and Subsea 7 were all high on the winners.

Seadrill revenge

Seadrill distinguished themselves positively after a strong rise in the US yesterday and topped winners with plus 38.8 percent to 29.19 crowns.

– I think there are two things: the price of oil has gone up quite a bit, from 30 to 37 dollars. Secondly today is that Noble has bet on buying back bonds in their own company, explains analyst Johan Power Carnegie faced Reuters.

– There is nothing fundamentally new in the rig market. I do not think one should stress here, one needs to scrape rigs before it will get better, continuing power, which according to news agency has a sell recommendation on the rig sector.

Trygve OBI said during Friday’s broadcast of HegnarTV he meant it could be talking about a short squeeze.

Oil splay

IEA reported a quote overhang of 2.2 million barrels per day in the previous quarter. Torbjorn Kjus find only 360,000 of these oil drums and wondering where the rest is.

Oil-producing nations might meet in the period between March 20 and April 1. According to TDN Finans aims Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak have said it on state television Friday.

The meeting could take place either in Russia, Doha or in Vienna.

On Thursday the Nigerian oil minister have said that that Opec and non-Opec countries will meet on March 20 in Russia.

Statoil ended the day up 2.29 percent.

Strong job numbers from the United States

The number of employed outside the agricultural sector in the US rose 242,000 in February while the unemployment rate was 4.9 percent.

It was expected in advance 190,000 nonfarm payrolls in February, according to CNBC. The highest expectation was according to Bloomberg at 217.000.



Solid rise of seismics

USB look no further upside for Subsea 7, and lowered the price target from 78 to 54 million, according to TDN Finans. It does not seem to have bothered shareholders noteworthy. The stock ended up 8.84 percent.

Meanwhile, rose Polarcus and PGS respectively 16.1 and 16.09 percent.

Prosafe rose 23.19 percent, while Fred Olsen Energy rose 13 , 64 percent.

Facts and contracts

Golar GenPower, which is a joint venture between Golar LNG’s subsidiary LNG Power and GenPower Participacoes, has Friday signed a framework agreement for the supply of LNG to a project they are developing in the Brazilian state of Sergipe in Brazil.

Norwegian presented fresh traffic figures for February. The stock ended up 3.76 percent.



Salmon growing in popularity

Salmon prices fell back Friday afternoon, but salmon companies rose. Salmar rose 5.60 percent, while today’s second most traded stock Marine Harvest ended up 1.72 percent.

Bakkafrost ended up 2.02 percent.
