Nicolai H. Løvenskiold resigns as head of the company that owns the private college Westerdals Oslo ACT.

– Anthon B. Nilsen Education AS must as owner of Westerdals follow up the matter, and to avoid doubt that all judgments and decisions be made solely in the school’s interest, I do not want to be part of the process. I have therefore asked the Board to resign. It is the best for the company, says Nicolai H. Løvenskiold in a message to the newspaper.
Tuesday it became clear that the Ministry reviewer private college Westerdals to Norwegian authorities that the school has received unwarranted government subsidies. Ministry requires NOK 28 million repaid.
– We are looking very seriously at this. The school has given false information to the Ministry of Education, Directorate of Education and Loan Fund, and has incorrectly been paid subsidy for students in film and television. It is this money we are now warning that we will claim reimbursement, said Minister Torbjørn Røe Isaksen (H) said.
Earlier in March revealed Dagens Næringsliv that Westerdals School of Communication – as school named before they merged to Westerdals Oslo Act in 2014 – has claimed at least 70 million more in tuition fees from students than they were allowed, over a period of ten years.
Without the school had received the necessary exemption from the Ministry of Education to require so much , paid pupils attended Westerdals school of Communication of 2002-2012 20-30 000 too much in tuition annually per student, according to the newspaper.
