Facebook triples profits – ITavisen.no

Very good numbers from the social media giant.

We are in the middle of the period where companies will present their quarterly results, and Facebook has every reason to be satisfied.

Tripled
Turnover totaled $ 5.3 billion, 43 billion, which is an increase of 52 percent compared with the corresponding quarter last year.

They can register a surplus of $ 1.5 billion, just over 12 billion, which is a threefold increase from last year’s first three months.

CNBC reported that Facebook may also report a growth in number of users. During the last quarter there was an average 1.65 billion users per month.

The company’s shares have risen by 33 per cent last year and grew by 9 percent after quarterly report was submitted.

Snapchat competitor
Earlier this week appeared rumors of a new Snapchat competitor of Facebook. The company launched a kind Snapchat competitor baptized Slingshot in 2014, but never became a success and has long been weeded out of Play and the App Store

Facebook can not stand on the sidelines any longer, and, according WSJ launching a separate picture app to get its 1.6 billion users to share even more pictures and video clips.

a prototype version is already put together a Facebook team in London. When the app opens, starts the camera automatically to get people to share more.

Live events will also be supported, a feature that was part of the Facebook app not too long ago. It is of course possible to share content directly to Facebook.
