150 lose their jobs in the oil service companies – Adresseavisen

Worst hit this time, employees who work with ROVs, according to Stavanger Aftenblad.

At eighteen months has 650 of the Norwegian company’s employees lost their jobs.

– The situation is difficult, but we are keen to do things differently and create a platform that will support us by lower oil prices, says CEO Erik Sæstad in Oceaneering.

Sæstad said to Adresseavisen that they hope that this will be the latest round of job cuts. He says that they have 27 to 28 employees at its office in Trondheim, but they are not at this time.

– They have been little affected earlier, but there has been minimal compared to the rest of the company, he said.

The employees in Trondheim works mainly with maintenance planning and engineering.

the American company has its Norwegian headquarters at Forus, Stavanger.
