Centre Pari-top starts oil company – Aftenposten

to start the new oil company gets with them oil veterans Anton Tronstad and Knut Evensen. The goal is to collect between 1 and 2 billion.

The four entering 1 million each to start the company and is in the process of finalizing negotiations with an international investment company to get enough start-up capital.

The company will be named Okea as, after the initial of the four owners.

He is deputy chairman of the Centre Party and sat in Parliament until 2013. In the coalition Government, he was Petroleum and Energy. Borten Moe was hailed by the oil industry and strongly disliked by the environmental movement.

– In the Center, there are many entrepreneurs. That here is a major industry in Norway. If there is someone who is trying to start something new in the oil, it is good.

– We have many people working in energy companies and in various forms of companies which sits central board. It is mostly an advantage with politicians who work with different things. Of course it will do that in certain cases we have to think more about, but it’s like that yes.



Extensive experience in the oil industry

Erik Haugane has background from the Norwegian oil company, and he has extensive experience in the oil industry. It was he who got hired Borten Moe in the state investeringsselskapetSiva in 2013, where Haugane was CEO until December last year.

– We enter his own money, and we begin to work for the company all together . There are very many discoveries on the Norwegian continental shelf that is not being developed, but that we know exist there. We think we can make things simpler, cheaper and perhaps introduce new business models that will create value for both the company and society, says Ola Borten Moe to Adresseavisen.

Haugane assumes the role of CEO, while former oil and Energy Borten Moe becomes project manager Okea.

Borten Moe says that the aim is to build full-fledged oil company headquartered in Trondheim. The founders shall hold a ten percent in the company.
