- Women are wrong, men have the potential – HegnarOnline

Professor at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), Karin Thorburn, criticizes biased recruitment of managers, newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.

– When the female candidates lack industry experience is a mistake. When men missing, are the conclusions that “it can be learned,” said Thorburn, who along with colleague Astrid Kunze, she has been editor of the report on employment, career and salary, which is part of the work Delegation for equality in working life should submit to the Swedish government Thursday next week.

– As long as you refuse to recognize that we hold fast to a male norm for leadership, it’s always going to be a white middle-aged man who is considered most qualified, says Thorburn, and points out that there are studies for samples show that women who laugh four times ansettelsesinterjvuer are considered disreputable, while men who laugh four times is charming and funny

– That it consistently being men who get the top job is a consequence of women stumble during the recruitment process. There are male manager candidates that constitute the norm. Women fall short when they do not meet this and are considered different and inconclusive, she says to DN.
