DNB’s risk director fear long downturn – HegnarOnline

– I am no longer so anxious for the depth of the decline we are now, but I’m more worried about the length, says executive vice presidents Terje Turnes DNB to Dagens Næringsliv.

When oil prices were around $ 40 per barrel this winter, was Turnes and colleagues DNB afraid that the oil industry faced a plunge. He believes the question is how long it will take before the Norwegian economy fail to take into account the fact oil prices at lower levels.

– The restructuring may take longer than we think. The shock that we were afraid of this winter have had a positive effect, in that restructuring had happened sooner, he says, adding that Norway has a layer of fat to take off.
