Stromme are Swedish-Norwegian Discovery Manager – Campaign

Head of TV Norge and Discovery Networks Norway, Harald Stromme, takes over management of the Discovery operations in Sweden with immediate virkni ng. It happens after Discovery’s Swedish boss, Jonas Sjögren, decide to leave the company. informs Discovery in a statement.

Stromme is first transferred into the role of acting CEO in addition to his current job.

– Sweden is a large and exciting market where we see challenges for linear TV is greater than in Norway. But we have a very good base with a strong channel portfolio with “Femman”, or Channel 5, as flagship. There is now heavily in sports and digital content in both markets. And Swedish operations are delivering strong viewing figures on a number of productions. I’m looking forward to taking on this task, says Stromme message.

He does not deny that the job is demanding.

– To lead two major organizations in two key markets, is a daunting task. But I already know many of our Swedish colleagues well and look forward to working closely with them. And we have a strong management team here in Norway, which manages more than fine without my daily involvement.
