S&P 500 index was a long way to struggle in the plus after much back and forth in the course of the day. 20 minutes before the close of business went aksjeindeksen from green to red, and thus was the longest tapsrekken of 36 years is a fact.
S&P 500 ended down 0,17 percent to 2085,18 points, and were thus able to end the week with its ninth consecutive day of fall.
the Last time it happened was in December 1980, but it must be emphasised that at the time was the total loss of 9.4 per cent in the course of those days. This time, the index only lost 2.9 per cent.
the Dow Jones ended down 0,24 percent to 17888,28 points, and so did the Nasdaq to 5046,37 points.
the VIX index increased by 1,95 percent to 22,51 points and has thus increased by approx. 40 per cent in the last week because of the election.

Non-farm Payrolls
the Market was naturally excited about the “month’s most important numbers” which was released today, but it did not seem to have a mighty impact on the stock exchange.
It was created 161.000 working outside agriculture, while on the advance was expected a growth of 175.000 jobs. The unemployment rate remained at 4.9 percent – as expected.
Tom Siomades, chief executive officer of Hartford Funds Investment Consulting Group, told CNBC that this report “would cement a renteheving in December”.
Magne Østnor DNB Markets wrote in morgenrapporten its Friday ahead of the numbers, that they would have to disappoint dramatically to prevent a renteheving in December.
Thus it will take a lot for that the Fed will refrain from raising interest rates.
Choice
But then there is this option then. Stock markets are characterized powerful that what awaits in the next week.
-No one will do anything today. All is on hold for Tuesday, said JJ Kinahan, sjefsstrateg in TD Ameritrade to CNBC.
-It seems that the market is obsessed with the election, said Michael Arone, sjefsstrateg at State Street Global Advisors to CNBC.
For the week, therefore, get large movements. If Trump wins, think Citi that the S&P 500 will fall by 5 per cent immediately.
