Oil Service Company notifies wage cuts – Romsdals Budstikke

Director Thomas Reinertsen said to Adresseavisen that they will have to take new steps to ensure the company new contracts and ensure work for the employees remaining in the company.

– We will not force anyone down in wages, but it is something we propose together with a number of other measures to secure jobs, he said.

the staff were briefed on the proposal Tuesday. They must also rely on the fact that the company will have to reduce pension payments.

The competitor Aker Solutions introduced earlier this year a temporary wage cuts of 10 percent for senior management in the company’s business for maintenance, modifications and operations (MMO) in Norway and 5 percent for other employees in the MMO area.

Engineering company Reinertsen is headquartered in Trondheim. Around 700 people have so far been forced to leave the company after the downturn in the oil industry. (© NTB)
