– You get the all-new Volvo XC90 from 725,000, and it is by no means a stripped model, says Øystein Herland, Managing Director of Volvo Cars in Norway.
For this price you get a well-equipped model with 190-horsepower diesel engine, eight-speed automatic, Kinetic grade, 7 seats, and of course, all-wheel drive. He adds that the cars are so well equipped that he actually expects to sell a good number of cars to just below the 750,000 kroner.
This is quite unusual in a market where customers often put on equipment for 200,000 dollars and more.

The very first cars to be sold, however, is a full-featured version they call 1st Edition, which has a 225-horsepower diesel under the hood. For this shall the worldwide produced 1,927 copies, and the edition is priced at just 1 million in Norway.
(And why exactly 1927? Because it was in 1927 Ford sold his first car.)

Volvo XC90 will be officially launched in Norway on March 1. Negotiators opens booking possibilities in mid-October.
