When Opel launches its first electric vehicle next year, it is part of the largest model offensive in the brand’s history, with 29 new models from 2016 to 2020.
The new electric car, with five doors and five seats , will be named Ampera e and is the sister model of the Chevrolet Bolt. Ampera e expected to have about the same range and price as the latter range of over 320 kilometers and starting price of around NOK 300,000.
There may be an enticing total package for EV horny guys around.

Here’s Opel also spearheading among the established car brands. Today there are only Tesla which offers range of 300 km.
The fact that brands like Opel now takes up the fight directly to Tesla, being on several sources described as an electric vehicle revolution.

Ampera e get a distinctive design, here, Opel signaling that this is a special car.

– Game changer
It was during the week “CAR Symposium” in Bochum that GM’s chief, Mary Barra released news:
– GM and Opel have always been convinced that electric cars will play an important role in future mobility. Ampera e is a “game changer” and an important step towards fulfilling our vision. Our new electric car, is a sufficient proof that Opel makes innovative engineering accessible to many.
The development of coalescing around cities and the need to protect the environment sets new requirements for motor traffic.

Ampera e is compact exterior yet spacious interior. This is partly due to the flat battery pack located under the floor. Good layout provides space for five and luggage space the size of what you find in the compact class.
Ampera e will also be equipped with Opel OnStar, which gives you your own personal assistant in your car. A service that provides increased security and new opportunities for linking your smartphone towards infotainment and mobile services.
