– It could sound very nice. I jumped off the career and realizes entrepreneurial dream in London. But it is very much hard work and uncertainty, so you get a little anxiety occasionally, says Kari Bech-Moen (38) to DN.

On the entrepreneurial incubator Wimbletech in Wimbledon in London, she develops app FamWeek.

Bech-Moen has 12 years of management experience in Telenor. In 2014 she chose to speak up, to do what she always dreamed of: creating their own product.

The idea she got busy lifestyle, when it entered her house by her son should have pepper cake baking in kindergarten and was the only one who was with rolling pin and apron.

She noticed that there was something that did not work. All organizations family was part of trying to communicate with them, but all on different platforms.

– It was when the idea came, this would I do something. The growth potential is very, everyone needs the coordination in one form or another, says Bech-Moen.

In the pilot phase

Bech-Moen thought of the idea for about a year before she did seriously of it.

– I decided to stop in Telenor. At the same time the man got my start working in London, so when we found out we were moving all together. Now we have been here for a year and a half, she said.

FamWeek is still in the pilot phase with beta product in Norway and England. Bech-Moen received establishment grant from Innovation Norway and signed an agreement with a developer company in Lithuania. To date, she has secured cooperation with a Norwegian municipality, some sports teams and several private kindergartens and schools.

– We will start dialogue with various partners and investors who can provide us with scale, says Bech-Moen.

– Gaining access is a drudgery. Basically they are the interested, but one has to spend a lot of time trying to convince them, she adds.

Wild made more

Her biggest challenge is that she is impatient, she will happy that things will go even faster.

– I would have done much more during this time.

the experience Bech-Moen has from time Telenor will she ever need.

– the international background, I really enjoyed now. I’m used to working with other cultures, she said.

Yet it is time consuming to acquire a network in a new city.

– In Norway it goes much faster, there I have a larger network. Things take a little longer here, says Bech-Moen.

She draws however stated that it has been liberating to move to a new place and start with a clean slate.

– You should the doing things one way in Norway, I notice a big difference here. There is greater diversity here that might contribute to more creativity. I dare to much more when I live here, says Bech-Moen.

– Good timing

When she started for herself, she received good support from friends and acquaintances.

– People thought it was good timing since we traveled to London. The alternative would the have been applying for a job here. Perhaps there had been other reactions if we had stayed in Norway, she said.

She pulls nevertheless emerged that there was a threshold to take the whole family and move here.

– But here in London there is so international and there are very many in the same situation, stressing Bech-Moen.

if she’d do it over again, would she spent more time talking with others who have done accordingly.

– you should check out the business idea with many, and assuring business plan before getting started. I was lucky to have a huge network to help me with it.

– Good idea to do what you want to

According to CEO Eivind Boe in staffing company Proffice is it too few who dare to follow their dreams.

– Generally I think it’s a good idea to do what you want to do, follow her dream. It is healthy personal and perhaps too smart career in the long term, says Boe.

He has the impression that those who dare to take the plunge – and success – rare jumps of entrepreneurial life.

– But we have the many who fail also. Being an entrepreneur is tough, and you should have a reasonable attitude to the rolling out in. Be realistic, he says.

Staked all savings

Sometimes Bech- Moen be afraid that there might be some things. The product requires great growth and many users to be a success.

– I’ve gone into with much private capital, all my savings. I take the not out any salary. Sometimes I obviously afraid that I have invested too much, says Bech-Moen.

On the other hand, she shows that there has been a lot of learning in the initial phase.

– when I hopefully will start up something new, it’s going to go much faster, she says and stresses:

– I have an inner conviction for this product, we shall have it. This missing market to such a degree.
