Norwegians spend more money than our Nordic neighbors in e-commerce, it will appear in a report.

Almost four out of ten Norwegians shop online at least once a month, writes ØB.

– According to those shop online, the biggest advantage is that they can shop anytime of day, says Kristin Anfindsen, Development Director of eCommerce in PostNord Norway.

Many believe that it is cheaper to shop online while some prefer online shopping because the assortment is bigger.

– Consumers ask today the same requirements for a purchase, whether it happens physically or digitally. It enables interaction between the channels must be developed even more. As a customer you feel that the experience is related, whether the acquisition is made via mobile phone, a computer or in a physical store, says Kristin Anfindsen.

Half of all Norwegian online customers state that they a average quarter has done research online about a product which they later bought in a store. It is less common that the other way.

The most common goods Norwegians buy online, media products, clothes / shoes, home electronics, beauty / health and sports / leisure.

The majority of Norwegians who shop online prefer to pay by debit card, while 19 percent state that they wish to pay by invoice.
