Janet Yellen sent New York Stock Exchange to season best – OBI Online

US exchanges experienced a small rally on Tuesday night after a weak opening. Markets turned when the American governor Janet Yellen came with signs that the central bank will be cautious regarding future interest rate increases. She pointed to increased global risk of slower growth in China and the prospect of commodity prices, with oil leading the way.

The Dow Jones ended up 0.6 percent to 17,633.11, while the broader S & amp; P 500 index climbed 0.9 percent to 2,055.01.

the indices ended at the highest level so far this year. Technology and telecom stocks led the way, while the banking sector was the only sector that ended in minus.

Nasdaq rose less than 1.7 percent to 4,846.62.
