Microsoft sniffs at Yahoo – OBI Online

Yahoo has lately struggled. And they have openly said that the company is put up for sale.

Most recently in February wrote Hegnar.no a story on this.

There were including talk that companies like Verizon , Comcast, aT & amp; t, and private equity companies that Bain Capital, KKR and TPG could be potential buyers.

Meanwhile, said hedge fund Starboard Value announced yesterday that they want to nominate nine new directors of the company when they have failed to implement the original strategy.

it is therefore interesting that various sources have now confirmed that the leaders of Microsoft has been in meetings with various private equity fund to gather finances to possibly acquiring Yahoo , writes CNBC.

Yahoo is currently valued at around $ 32.5 billion. Adjusts one of their assets in Alibaba is this value, however, only 6 to 8 billion dollars.

Microsoft has previously tried to buy Yahoo. Back then, Yahoo was valued at 48 billion dollars.
