Labour Court in Denmark gave the strikers cabin staff in SAS Danmark injunction to resume work Sunday afternoon. It did not happen.
The union of the striking workers, CAU, confirms Sunday afternoon that the SAS employees not adhered Labour Court deadline. At Copenhagen Airport, the situation remains unchanged.
After long discussions with its own members, the Board of CAU now sat down to plan the next move in the labor dispute. The conflict began Friday, when SAS cabin staff in Denmark went on strike.
The reason for the strike is that SAS will move around 140 cabin crew over the subsidiary Cimber as an austerity, which will probably mean poorer working conditions.
When the crew did not attend job Saturday despite an agreement with SAS, they were sued for Labour Court in Denmark. According Causa Deputy Chairman Jean Pierre Schomburg refused his members to return to work before they got submitted the minutes of Saturday’s meeting.
SAS Danish communications manager Trine Kromann-Mikkelsen said Sunday morning that the response had been one Supreme Court Justice to look into the matter.
– Now shall take the necessary steps to get loose situation, she said.
Well over 100 departures have been canceled as a result the strike in Denmark. Sunday will be reported 70 canceled flights so far, including several of Norway.
